Week 5 (2/5/2025 - 2/11/2025)
(Click on READ MORE for better formatting)
Hi everyone, welcome to my fifth blog! This week I will be reflecting on a few resources that I read in the Module 5 lecture material of CST 300 Major ProSeminar alongside some of the tasks we had this week. I also conducted an industry expert interview with my father who is a Director of Information Technology. If you are interested in seeing my report on that, click here.
- Part 1: Support and Comment on Teammates' Goals
- This week, students were tasked with commenting feedback on two of my teammates' education and career goals from last week. Below you can find links to the two blog posts that I commented on.
- Part 2: Possible Capstone Ideas
- Earlier this week, I met with my team to discuss possible ideas for our capstone project. We considered many ideas, including projects related to video games, artificial intelligence, and a webapp. Out of these three, our team seems to agree on creating a complex webapp as most of us seem to have prior experience in that area.
- Part 3: Summarization of the week
- In addition to the material learned through this week's lecture material, students had the opportunity to play around with AI by prompting it to create an analysis for Stakeholder 2 in the Ethics essay. Like the weeks prior, I also furthered my learning on teamwork and groups via OLI Modules 6 and 7. Our group also came up with three topics for the final project, those being AI race and development: USA vs China, Practices of Telecom Companies (Issue), and Cryptography in the Quantum Age. Of these topics, the most popular was the AI race between the USA and China and is also the one our instructors approved.
That is all for this week, see you in my Week 6 post!
