Hi everyone, welcome to my eighth blog! This is the last blog post for CST 300 Major ProSeminar.
- Part 1: Review Other Teams' Final Video Projects
- Lutra Technologies - Professional Video | General Video
- Review: The general video is within the expected length, and the professional video is just a bit over. The general video is 2 minutes and 49 seconds, and the professional video is 10 minutes and 35 seconds. Both videos explain the technology of Brain Computer Interfaces at an audience-appropriate level. As a result, I believe the topic is well-covered in each video. Both presentations are clear overall. The quality of the research and video production are both above average. Teamwork is evident, with different people speaking parts of the professional video. All in all, a solid effort!
- Globe Tr'Otters - Professional Video | General Video
- Review: The general and professional videos are within the expected length. The general video is 2 minutes and 56 seconds, and the professional video is 9 minutes and 44 seconds. Both videos explain the technology of AI deepfakes at an audience-appropriate level. The topic is well-covered in each video, however only the professional presentation is clear. The reason the general video is not clear is because there is loud background music that overpowers the narrator's voice. This is not an issue in the professional video. Although the quality of the research is above average, the quality of the video production is only slightly above average. However, teamwork is evident, with different people speaking parts of the professional and general audience video. If it wasn't for the overpowering music in the general video, I would have had no complaints overall!
- Code Busters - Professional Video | General Video
- Review: The general and professional videos are within the expected length. The general video is 4 minutes and 42 seconds, and the professional video is 9 minutes and 46 seconds. The professional video explains preventing cyberattacks with AI at an audience-appropriate level. The general video could have been further simplified and shortened. The topic is well-covered in each video and both presentations are clear. Although the quality of the research is above average, I cannot say the same about the video production. It is nothing more than the group talking over a slideshow almost the entire time. However, teamwork is evident, with different people speaking parts of the professional and general audience video. The videos could have used some more thought, but they are not bad either. Subjects with the most room for improvement are the production quality and further simplifying the general video.
- Part 2: My Team's Final Video Project and Reflection
- Silicon Surfers - Professional Video | General Video
- Reflection: Overall, I believe the Silicon Surfers team worked well together to create these two videos. In addition, all group members made roughly equal contributions to the project. There was not a person who did nothing while everyone else did the hard work, for example. I am pleased with the results our team was able to come up with for this project, and I look forward to working with them in future courses throughout the CS Online program.
That is all for this week, see you in my Week 9 post!
Onwards to CST 338 Software Design!
